Our Doctors

​​​​​Dr. Greyson Barger grew up in Sedgwick, KS, and graduated from Sedgwick High School. He received his Bachelors of Science from Bethel College and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry located in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Barger has trained in a variety of clinical settings including Jamaica Plain VA in Boston, MA, Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington, KY, and at several university-affiliated clinics in the Chicago, IL area. These varied experiences have given him a well rounded clinical background and excellent experience with the management of eye changes caused by diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Dr. Barger has also had extensive experience with pre and post-operative care of cataract and refractive surgery (LASIK) patients. Dr. Barger also has a particular high interest in the fitting of scleral contact lenses and other hard to fit lenses.

Dr. Barger has also had extensive training in pediatrics and vision therapy. He recommends infants receive their first exam between six months and 12 months of age.

Dr. Barger is a member of the American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, Wichita Optometric Society, an Associate of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), AOA Sports Vision Section, and AOA Cornea and Contact Lens Section.

In his free time, Dr. Barger enjoys spending time with his wife, Shelley, two children, Landrey and Harrison.  He also enjoys coaching youth sports, golf, weight lifting, softball, and biking.

​​​​​Dr. Laura Aelvoet, originally from the San Antonio Metro, attended The University of Texas at Austin for undergrad. She furthered her education by attending Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN for optometry school. While attending optometry school, she became proficient in diagnosing and treating patients of all ages. During this time, she received multiple awards and honors for her rapport with patients and overall clinical knowledge. She was even selected as an ambassador of the school.

After graduating magna cum laude, Dr. Aelvoet continued her education by completing a residency in Pediatrics, Vision Therapy, and Neuro Rehabilitation here in Wichita. She has a passion for treating children, binocular vision disorders and promoting success in the classroom.

In the fall of 2023 Dr. Aelvoet and her husband Caleb, welcomed their twin girls to the world and are enjoying all the fun of new parenthood. In her spare time, she enjoys staying active and traveling with her family. She also enjoys the thrills of college sports and is an avid Longhorn.

​​​​​Dr. Alyssa Louia was born and raised in Rose Hill, Kansas. She received her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University. Following graduation, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.

After graduation, Dr. Louia returned to Kansas to work for a couple years before relocating to southwest Virginia. There she grew proficient in treating ocular diseases and refractive conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataract and LASIK pre and post-op care, macular degeneration, and more. She also has a passion for treating dry eye disease, and has experience with IPL therapy for both therapeutic and cosmetic purposes.

Dr. Louia and her husband, Braden, decided to move back to Wichita following the birth of their second child to be closer to family. They enjoy spending time with their family, taking their dogs hiking, kayaking, and more. They also enjoy participating in co-ed sports such as softball and volleyball.

Dr. Louia strives to provide compassionate and comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages and is excited to be back in Wichita to serve this great community and surrounding areas. She is now accepting patients!
